Embracing the New Normal: Renewed Hygiene Habits You Should Practise
Embracing the New Normal: Renewed Hygiene Habits You Should Practise

While COVID-19 won't be gone for a while, practising these healthy behaviours can help lower your risk of contracting and spreading germs or viruses.

Hope these tips are adequate to help you #staysafe

Dispose Mask Properly

When removing medical mask, remove it from behind and discard immediately in a closed bin. Be careful not to touch the front of the mask when doing so. Wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly after discarding the mask.

With the advancement of time, closed bin has evolved beyond just a bin with a lid. Avoid hands contact with step pedal functions. EVANS® Stainless Steel step pedal dust bin is rust-free and is available in 6 different colours.

Wash Your Hands Again

Clean hands help protect against infection. It is important to wash your hands frequently and properly. Wash your hands with soap and water, and dry them thoroughly. Washing your hands properly takes about as long as singing "Happy Birthday" twice.

Wet your hands and apply enough soap to work up enough lather to cover your hands entirely. You can now single-handedly reach for just the right amount of soap with EVANS® soap dispenser. Have yourself a clutter-free and sleek yet practical countertop.

No Phone Allowed

The regular phone is already 10 times dirtier than a toilet seat. Save your phone from the extra bacteria from your toilet and sanitize your phone regularly. Take a break from it whenever you head to the bathroom. Give your eyes and brain a little away-from-screen time.

Clean & Disinfect Bathroom Regularly

Do both cleaning and disinfecting to lower any possible risk of spreading infections. Clean the bathroom with detergent and running water. Use sufficient running water to drain away dirt and bacteria from the bathroom. EVANS® Hand Bidet will help to efficiently spray water across the bathroom and down the drain.
Don’t forget to also disinfect common contact surfaces such as doorknobs, tap handle, flush button and light switches with disinfectants.

Avoid Cross-Contamination

Separate cleaning tools for the bathroom and the rest of the house. Spray and scrub the toilet floor instead of mopping it. Keep the mop for other places in the house. Change cleaning tools regularly to avoid bacteria build-up and ineffective cleaning.

Throw, Close and Flush Away

Toilet paper is designed to break up and turn paper into dust completely when it gets wet. Flushing toilet paper down the toilet is more sanitary and better at keeping the bad odour away compared to throwing it in a bin.
So flush away with your choice of full flush or half flush as needed. Johnson Suisse® Treviso Water Closet has a powerful flushing system that uses less water and has additional hygiene features. With its rimless edge, there are less bacteria build-up and is easy to clean.
When you flush the toilet, the swirling water that removes your waste from the bowl also mixes with small particles of that waste, shooting aerosolized faeces into the air. That is why you should also close the seat and cover when you flush.

Shut the Door and Let It Go

Keep bathroom doors shut even when not in use to prevent odour, humidity and bacteria from spreading through the house. Ensure there is proper ventilation in the bathroom to extract pollutants, carbon dioxide, and odours. AireGard® has ventilators designed to ventilate the bathroom quietly and efficiently. Let bygones be bygones, same for our dirty little toilet secrets.
